LPN-Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Ortho/Spine Physical Rehabilitation department at MetroHealth. As an LPN, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients, including administering medications, performing venipuncture, and collecting blood specimens.
- Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication administration records and vital signs.
- Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing.
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license for the State of Ohio.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize patient care in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- 1 year of experience in an in-patient or long-term care setting.
- Familiarity with rules and regulations associated with in-patient or long-term care.
This role requires the ability to sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day. May need to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift pounds with assistance. Ability to push/pull up to 500 pounds with assistance.
