Job Title: Patient Care Nurse Assistant-Ortho/Spine Day/Eve

Location: MetroHealth Rehabilitation Institute

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Nurse Assistant to join our Inpatient Brain Injury Physical Rehab Unit, 8N. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and other complex conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, eating, and drinking
  • Take vital signs and perform basic ECG and phlebotomy
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including LPNs, Registered Nurses, Nurse Interns, and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current AHA Basic Life Support certification
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate good judgment, flexibility, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) with the Ohio Department of Health
  • 1 year of experience as a Patient Care Nurse Assistant in a hospital
