Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Manager to join our team at The University of Chicago Medicine. As a key member of our Compensation team, you will be responsible for leading the administration of compensation programs and processes, ensuring that they are efficient, effective, and aligned with the organization's goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the coordination of compensation programs to maximize efficiencies and ensure compliance with HR information systems and processes.
  • Develop and implement annual compensation planning cycles, including the merit process and market competitiveness review.
  • Manage the administration of compensation surveys and market pricing, ensuring timely and accurate data.
  • Develop and implement communication and training materials for compensation programs to all employees, leaders, and executives.
  • Function as a key compensation resource for the external recruitment team, ensuring timely and consistent information and training is provided.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferably HR, Business, or Finance.
  • Previous experience in the development and administration of compensation programs.
  • Exceptional organizational and efficiency-focused skills.
  • Ability to use rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions.
  • Expert project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, influence, and oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Previous experience as a partner in program design.
  • Prior experience managing resources.
  • Certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional in Human Resources (PHR), or equivalent.
