Position Overview:
We are seeking an Assembler II who will collaborate effectively as part of a production team to manufacture and assemble high-quality Glass, Doors, Frames, and Subcomponents. Adherence to work orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) is essential to meet daily safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble or produce component parts into sub-assemblies, assemblies, and completed units following assembly travelers and standard work instructions.
  • Utilize hand tools, electric tools, and pneumatic tools as required.
  • Maintain acceptable performance standards for assembly, production, quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Ensure work areas and common spaces are kept clean and orderly, practicing 6-S as part of a plant-wide initiative.
  • Make minor adjustments or setups to equipment or machines under supervision.
  • Inspect parts or completed units using visual inspection, gauges, tape measures, check fixtures, calipers, or other inspection tools.
  • Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead person or department supervisor.
  • Follow SOPs and instructions from leads and supervisors diligently.
  • Assist with cross-training of team members and processes as needed.
  • Perform a variety of assembly or production tasks with minimal supervision.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in production assembly.

  • Basic reading and writing skills.
  • Fundamental PC skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and comprehend fractions and decimals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Understanding of 6S methodology.
  • Capability to read and interpret job specifications.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods.
  • Aptitude for managing multiple assignments in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Team-oriented individual who is flexible and adaptable to changing conditions.
