Position Title: Assembler II - GPHE/SU3 1st Shift

OBJECTIVE
Execute production tasks in alignment with Safety & Quality protocols while enhancing processes based on operational requirements.

Your work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with the possibility of overtime including weekends as necessary.

POSITION OVERVIEW


Consistent and proper utilization of Personal Protective Equipment (Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Shoes, Gloves, Uniform, and other necessary items as dictated by specific tasks).


Receive daily production assignments from the Team Leader or Team Manager and carry out tasks in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and technical drawings.


Immediately report any discrepancies (Safety, Quality, Parts, Equipment, etc.) to the Status Boards and inform the Team Leader or Team Manager.

Actively participate in Daily Status Board Meetings by discussing deviations and proposing corrective actions.

Review and recommend enhancements for Standard Operating Procedures.

Identify opportunities for waste reduction (time, motion, transportation, inventory, etc.) and promote KAIZEN initiatives.

Engage in daily and weekly 5S practices to maintain high standards and ensure sustainability.

Continuously seek cross-training opportunities across various manufacturing processes to enhance value addition.

Utilize downtime effectively to learn new processes and implement improvements based on status board activities.

ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE
Reports directly to the Team Manager.

Acts according to directives from Team Leader/Team Manager.

Empowered to halt production in the event of safety, quality, or environmental concerns.

Responsible for identifying and addressing issues and deviations.

Initiates and leads problem-solving and improvement initiatives.

Communicates with Support Functions (Quality, Maintenance, Order Planning, Warehouse, etc.) as required.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
Safe working environment (Number of minor injuries/accidents).

Scrap & Rework percentage (customer claims, SOP deviations, etc.).

Adherence to routines (Total Productive Maintenance, Start of shift/End of shift checklists, etc.).

On-Time Delivery Performance.

Productivity metrics (Reported hours, achievement of competence matrix).

5S Score for the designated area or team.

Attendance metrics (Punctuality, good attendance, unscheduled absences, time-off requests).

Compliance with Alfa Laval Inc Policies & Procedures.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS DESIRED

Minimum High School diploma or GED.

Crane and Forklift certifications are advantageous.

Experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred.

Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and manufacturing orders.

Basic computer skills are required.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be capable of lifting up to 60 pounds.

Able to read Safety Data Sheets for various materials.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
No domestic or international travel is required for this position.
