Key Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable: Ensure proper approval and documentation for vouchers before entering them into the accounting system. Prepare biweekly payments and maintain organized records.
- Accounts Receivable: Manage monthly billing processes and maintain accurate files, including annual cost settlements and contract renewals.
- Journal Entries: Prepare journal entries for electronic transactions reflected in monthly bank statements.
- Payroll Processing: Handle biweekly payroll and verify the accuracy of timecards before processing.
- General Ledger Maintenance: Oversee prepaid expense schedules and ensure accurate recognition of expenses in the accounting system.
- Bank Deposits: Prepare and process deposits, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.
- Reporting: Generate annual 1099 forms for contractors and stipend recipients.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- Successful completion of a fingerprint background check
- Proof of full Covid-19 vaccination and recommended boosters
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with appropriate insurance
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of relevant accounting experience
- Experience with virtual service delivery platforms
- Bilingual proficiency in one of the designated languages
Position Details
- Hourly Pay: $33.64
- FLSA Status: Nonexempt
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM
- Remote work options may be available after the introductory period
- Covid-19 safety measures in place
