Junior Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Junior Accountant to join our team in Emeryville, CA. This is a 100% in-office position that requires both accounts payable and accounts receivable experience.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization and gaining valuable experience in the field of accounting.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and accounts on a regular basis.
- Process and verify invoices, expenses, and other financial transactions.
- Assist with the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
- Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Previous internship or entry-level accounting experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and meet deadlines.
Experience: 3 years of accounting experience (Accounts Payable Specialist, Accounts Payable Clerk, Accounting Assistant, Accounting Clerk)
