About the Role

The Finance and Operations Coordinator is a critical position at the Center for Gender and Refugee Studies (CGRS), an integral part of the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (UC Law SF). This role requires a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to financial management and a commitment to the values and mission of our Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the Center's and CGRS-California's accounting, budgeting, and financial systems.
  • Prepare annual and mid-year budgets for review by the UC Law SF's administration and CGRS-California's Board of Directors.
  • Ensure fiscal controls for both the UC Law SF Center and CGRS-California.
  • Liaise with UC Law SF fiscal services, purchasing, and other departments to facilitate all financial transactions and reconciliations.
  • Manage the tracking and processing of financial documents, including contracts with outside vendors, grant agreements, and contracts for CGRS services.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in non-profit financial management.
  • Strong preference for candidates with background in immigrant rights or legal services organizations.
