Cafe Attendant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Cafe, Bartenders. As a member of our Guest Services Team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences during events such as food preparation, answering guest questions, cash and ticket handling, inventory control, merchandise and supply restocking, facility upkeep, and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Food preparation and service in accordance with Health Department regulations and guidelines
• Correctly operate all food service equipment
• Proper food handling procedures
• Bartending
• Cash handling
• Accurate count of start-up and ending cash drawers, change counting, and sales transactions
• Accurate use of ShopKeep software on provided iPads to sell food and beverage and General Store services

Requirements:

• Honest, trustworthy, reliable, flexible, and strives to go above and beyond
• Agriculture/animal/4-H/FFA/rodeo/nature background/interest preferred but not required
• Willingness to learn and to work hard in a variety of situations and environments while providing professional, friendly services to our guests
• Must obtain a Liquor Server/Seller Permit and Prep Cook Food Handlers license from local government authorities
• Previous experience(s) will be certified after hire and may make you eligible for additional pay

Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, lift 50 pounds periodically, and work on feet for extended periods. The Lancaster Event Center is a 160-acre fairgrounds with various locations, including permanent cafes, banquet halls, livestock barn service desks, and outdoor areas.

Compensation:

Team Members: Starts at $12/hr. + tips

Kitchen Leads/Cooks: Starts at $13/hr. + tips
