Job Title: Sales Store Manager

Join Sun Tan City - JB and Associates as a Sales Store Manager and contribute to our success by leading a team to create and maintain the Sun Tan City Experience for our clients.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for supervising and directing the workforce, making staffing decisions, ensuring client satisfaction and quality of client experience, monitoring and motivating staff to achieve performance goals, handling minor maintenance issues, ensuring the cleanliness of the salon, and managing safety and security within the salon.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coach employees to provide amazing client experiences.
  • Follow up swiftly on client concerns and issues.
  • Set a positive example and demonstrate a calm demeanor during periods of high volume.
  • Hold team members accountable for quality client service.
  • Drive company metrics by developing action plans and implementing company programs.
  • Manage with integrity and honesty and promote the culture, values, and mission of Sun Tan City.
  • Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth flow of operations.
  • Directly responsible for the cleanliness, maintenance, sanitation, and organization of the salon.
  • Manage salon staffing levels to ensure employee development and maintain salon operational requirements.
  • Adhere to applicable wage and hour laws for non-exempt team members and minors.
  • Use operational tools to plan for and achieve operational excellence in the salon.
  • Utilize financial reports to identify and address trends and issues in salon performance.
  • Conduct performance assessments, provide feedback, and set challenging goals to improve sales performance.
Requirements
  • College education preferred, but not required.
  • Management and/or Sales experience required.
  • Basic Computer skills (ability to use Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple situations simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of client service techniques and operational practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational/planning skills.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to coach and mentor while having knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
  • Team building skills
  • Ability to prioritize and delegate.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend at the waist to clean tanning equipment.
  • Ability to lift or assist in lifting items and heavy boxes.
  • Ability to bend down to pick up trash, towels, etc. from the floors.
  • Ability to perform salon cleaning functions including dusting, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, etc.
Work Environment

The Salon Director is required to work a 5-day workweek of 40 hours per week. (minimum)

The Salon Director is required to work a varying number of mid and/or closing shifts each week as determined by their supervisors based on business trends and staffing needs.
