Cedar Fair is looking for a dedicated Assistant Manager to support the operations of our Food and Beverage Division within the park. This role is crucial in ensuring effective management of the assigned area within Food Services. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality and cost control of food, beverages, and service while striving to meet all budgetary objectives. Continuous improvement of standards within the area of responsibility is expected.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve all financial and budgetary targets.
  • Act as the on-duty manager for Food & Beverage on a rotating basis, focusing on in-park operations, staffing levels, and addressing guest inquiries.
  • Ensure the highest standards of guest service across all units.
  • Monitor and control food and labor costs to achieve a favorable budget outcome.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local health regulations.
  • Initiate corrective actions and improvements as necessary or directed by management, ensuring accurate reporting within the area of responsibility.
  • Encourage team members to pursue continuous improvement in their performance.
  • Adhere to corporate and divisional policies and procedures consistently.
  • Maintain effective communication with all team members.
  • Report daily developments within the area to management.
  • Comply with all Cedar Fair policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and equal employment opportunity policies, while demonstrating a commitment to customer service in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • License or Certification: Valid driver's license; Valid Food Handlers card or ability to obtain one post-hire.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in high-volume, multi-unit food and beverage operations.
  • Equivalency: Directly related experience or a combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the above requirements.
