As a pivotal member of our leadership team, the Food and Beverage Team Leader is responsible for overseeing operations at their designated location. This role involves guiding, inspiring, and empowering team members to achieve all operational standards and objectives while fostering a dynamic and cooperative work atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train, guide, assess, and manage staff performance with appropriate documentation.
- Address and resolve concerns and complaints from guests and team members effectively.
- Facilitate clear communication among management, staff, and other departments.
- Collaborate with Supervisors to ensure staffing needs are met in compliance with labor regulations.
- Ensure team members are well-trained in service procedures, operational flow, equipment usage, and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain labor and sales budget requirements by continuously evaluating and adjusting to operational needs.
- Participate in supervisory meetings and relay information to team leaders and peers.
- Assist in emergency situations as required.
- Provide team members with the necessary tools and information to perform their roles effectively.
- Evaluate supervisory staff performance and make recommendations for improvement.
- Offer guidance and assistance to guests as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local and state sanitation regulations in all work and service areas.
- Complete administrative tasks including scheduling, inventory management, and performance evaluations.
- Oversee cash management to maintain accurate financial records and minimize discrepancies.
- Regularly monitor the entire operational area to maintain awareness of overall performance.
- Demonstrate proficiency in operational tasks, service flow, equipment cleaning, and menu knowledge.
- Create motivational strategies and incentives for team members.
- Implement daily task schedules prepared by Assistant Supervisors to ensure efficient operations.
- Complete required certifications in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Deliver guest service in line with Cedar Fair standards, including proactive guest interactions.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety in the assigned work area, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Meet scheduling availability requirements, including nights and weekends.
- Adhere to Cedar Fair's attendance policies and conduct guidelines.
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a solid understanding of park operations, particularly within the Food and Beverage sector. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, is essential. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age and able to pass any required background checks and drug tests as per company policy.
