Job Summary

The Helen Ross McNabb Center is seeking a highly skilled Reimbursement Specialist to join our team. As a Reimbursement Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients receive accurate and timely reimbursement for their services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze eligibility reports to identify potential issues and discrepancies
  • Communicate with insurance verification team leaders to resolve questions and problems related to insurance verification
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures related to compliance with federal and state billing regulations
  • Communicate with billing representatives to resolve insurance issues
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude
  • Read and respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Listen to voicemails and respond accordingly
  • Work with various teams and departments to identify process improvements
  • Assist in determining proper courses of action for resolution to insurance issues
  • Possess problem-solving skills to research and resolve discrepancies, denials, appeals, and collections
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance in relation to proper billing, follow-up, and verification duties
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and alone
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA)
  • Knowledge of the center's Policies and Procedures
  • Ability to maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence related to the position
