Job Title: Compensation Director

At Bright Horizons Children's Centers, we are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Director to join our Total Rewards team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing total reward strategies that drive business results and support the growth of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and Talent Management to develop recommendations and creative solutions to attract, motivate, and retain key talent.
  • Provide strategic compensation advice to multiple departments/functions within Bright Horizons.
  • Administer the company equity program, including annual grant process, modeling of future enhancements, and development of communications/education.
  • Conduct market assessments and participate in salary surveys to ensure the company's competitive market position.
  • Support the annual administration of the compensation program by providing management with advice on setting pay, policy, and guideline interpretation, as well as job evaluation.
  • Collaborate with the HR Systems team on technology strategy, improvements, and enhancements to data integrity and Total Reward systems and tools.
  • Continuously review and identify processes, programs, or tools that could benefit from automation or enhancements and support improvements to enable greater efficiencies and scalability.
  • Support the development of salary structures, job architecture, and career ladders.
  • Support the development of pay policies that are compliant and support the growing organization through benchmarking and research.
  • Conduct pay equity reporting and analysis.
  • Support audit processes and legal reporting to ensure compensation programs are administered in compliance with company policies and government regulations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 7 years of relevant compensation experience is required; 8-10 years of relevant compensation experience is preferred.
  • Ability to thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
  • Highly metrics-focused orientation with the ability to analyze data, draw insights, and communicate technically complex information in an understandable manner.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to work with raw data to provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Ability to lead projects and be highly collaborative.
  • Experience building and implementing compensation models and solutions.
  • Experience in Tableau or similar analytic platforms a plus, but not required.
  • Proficiency in MS suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel knowledge).
Benefits:
  • Salary range $120,000 - $140,000 commensurate with experience.
