Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer

Actalent is seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise to improve manufacturing processes, ensure product quality, and safely improve manufacturing efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement, leading the implementation of necessary resolutions and improvements.
  • Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement, and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.
  • Develop detailed layouts for equipment, processes, and workflow.
  • Research and develop new processes, equipment, and products.
  • Develop and implement cost-saving measures and quality control systems, working closely with other departments for quality control of raw materials and evaluating quality control processes for improvements.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, and products comply with safety standards and legal regulations.
  • Work closely with plant production management staff on continuous improvement initiatives and support other department managers in achieving overall site objectives.
  • Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data, providing management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to understand future requirements for the manufacturing process.
  • Review and calculate labor, material, and other production costs, along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision-making.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance and repair services, ensuring that manufacturer's procedures and instructions are followed to keep production equipment operational.
Requirements:
  • BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience, including evaluating and troubleshooting manufacturing processes and machinery.
  • Understanding and experience using data analysis programs and basic CAD and CAM software (Inventor used, any CAD program familiarity is okay).
  • May be required to differentiate colors and shades of colors (specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision and depth perception).
