Job Summary:

The Valcourt Group is seeking a highly motivated and driven Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales and marketing team, you will be responsible for building a portfolio of target customers, educating them about our services, and pursuing opportunities for growth.

This is a foundation-building opportunity to interact with potential customers (owners, property managers, consulting engineers) by way of various campaigns and events to develop skills and approaches that differentiate you and the company in the market.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and Develop Strategic Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners and potential customers to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop a Strong Pipeline: Develop a robust pipeline of new customers and projects through direct or indirect customer contact and prospecting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Teams: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to implement business development initiatives, plan and attend events, tradeshows, webinars, presentations, and conferences.
  • Generate Business: Generate new business through outbound lead activity and research companies to identify new prospects.
  • Qualify Inbound Leads: Qualify inbound leads and prioritize opportunities, mobilizing the appropriate internal resources to accelerate sales cycles.
  • Stay Up-to-Date on Company Services: Maintain a strong understanding of the company's broad range of service offerings.
  • Articulate Competitive Differentiators: Effectively communicate the company's competitive differentiators and value proposition to both prospects and existing customers.
  • Nurture Prospects: Nurture prospects through in-person communication and entertainment efforts, tracking activity in the CRM database.
  • Establish Rapport: Establish rapport and build strong relationships with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Represent the Company: Represent the company at networking functions.
  • Manage Daily and Weekly KPI Reports: Manage daily and weekly KPI reports for sales activity, leads, opportunities, closed business, and existing pipeline.
  • Perform Building Take-Offs: Perform building take-offs to obtain accurate footages and measurements for estimating.
  • Prepare Proposals: Prepare proposals and present project documentation to clients for review and negotiation.
Requirements:
