Position Overview

The Educational Program Coordinator for Conferences plays a pivotal role in supporting project initiatives and team collaboration in the creation, execution, and ongoing management of educational offerings for Informa Markets' events. This position demands exceptional organizational abilities, effective communication, financial insight, and the capacity to engage with colleagues across various levels of seniority. Familiarity with healthcare concepts and terminology is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Content and Programming to assist in the design, development, and maintenance of educational content, including both clinical and non-clinical continuing education offerings.
  • Engage with speakers to ensure that all programs are designed with the attendee experience at the forefront, utilizing principles of adult learning to create impactful and relevant content.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, to curate high-quality educational resources and programs.
  • Coordinate with advisory boards and content developers to ensure alignment with business objectives and revenue goals.
  • Manage speaker recruitment, program agendas, and session details to facilitate a seamless educational experience.
  • Oversee the content updates for event websites, ensuring accuracy and relevance in program summaries and speaker information.
  • Contribute to marketing materials, including program guides and promotional content, to effectively communicate program offerings.
  • Support new educational initiatives as directed, including the introduction of innovative topics and event formats.
  • Utilize project management skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to established timelines.
  • Assist in the strategic planning for the educational programming department, contributing to broader organizational goals.
  • Participate in budget development related to content and programming initiatives.
  • Manage onsite program activities during events as assigned.
  • Travel to events as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • At least five years of experience in educational program design and planning, preferably within a professional association or healthcare setting.
  • Proven experience in managing speaker relations and logistics for educational presentations.
  • Understanding of adult learning principles and their application in program development.
  • Experience in forming committees and working with subject matter experts to identify relevant topics.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams and manage volunteer contributions.
  • Basic knowledge of budgeting processes and financial management.
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with educational programming tools and proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
