Technical Sales Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of innovative solutions for pneumatic and control systems, is seeking a dynamic Technical Sales Engineer to drive sales efforts within the region.
This role emphasizes consultative selling, combining both stocked and custom-designed systems to meet client needs. You'll be supported by a skilled engineering and technical team at headquarters, but the primary responsibility for expanding the business in your region lies with you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to expand market presence in the region, focusing on both OEMs (75%) and new business development (25%).
- Utilize your regional network and industry knowledge to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Conduct consultative sales processes, understanding customer needs, and offering tailored solutions with both stocked and custom-modified systems.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to ensure product offerings align with customer requirements and expectations.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing clients while continuously seeking opportunities to introduce and upsell additional products.
- Present products and solutions to diverse audiences, including packaging companies, vacuum application experts, C-suite executives, and farmers.
- Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote company products and expand industry connections.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in machine design, maintenance, and technical sales within relevant industries.
- Strong sales personality with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to pass a mechanical aptitude test with a score of 80-85%.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, set goals, and achieve targets.
- Experience in selling controls, pneumatic systems, air systems, automation, and related products.
- Ability to leverage regional network and industry connections to drive sales growth.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
