Naval Architect and Propulsor Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect and Propulsor Expert to join our team at Naval Sea Systems Command. As a key member of our Surface Ship Propulsion team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and guidance on surface ship propulsor/propeller, waterjets, rudders, and appendages.
Key Responsibilities- Establish and maintain surface ship propulsor/propeller policy, standards, and criteria
- Identify technology and research efforts needed in surface ship propulsor/propeller
- Manage assigned surface ship propulsor/propeller programs
- Serve as the US Navy's surface ship propulsor/propeller technical representative on Joint Service Panels, NATO Panels, Data Review Panels, Regulatory Boards, and Integrated Product Teams
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in naval architecture and propulsion systems, as well as excellent communication and technical skills. You must also be able to work effectively in a team environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements: a professional engineering degree from an accredited program, or current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
