The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled General Manager, Market Development to join our team. This individual will play a critical role in positioning SCAN Health Plan as a high-quality Medicare Advantage organization in new markets, ensuring a compliant and desirable provider network, competitive product offerings, and a compelling market engagement/management strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate with the VP of Market Performance to set strategy and drive critical initiatives
  • Develop and implement market expansion plans, including identifying new markets and opportunities for growth
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including providers, payers, and community organizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive market results and achieve business objectives
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics to measure market performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business or health field, required; Master's degree preferred
  • 10+ years of managed care experience, with 5+ years in an executive-level position
  • Knowledge of CMS and DHCS regulations
  • Ability to operate Medicare Advantage at the local level
  • Familiarity with Texas and New Mexico markets

At SCAN Health Plan, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $177,500 to $284,000 annually, an annual employee bonus program, and a robust wellness program. We also offer generous paid-time-off, 11 paid holidays per year, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer match.
