ResponsibilitiesThe Department of Emergency Medicine is on the lookout for an enthusiastic physician to join its esteemed faculty. The selected physician will oversee clinical operations in the emergency department during their designated shifts. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, including nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, residents, and fellows, the physician will be responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients presenting to the emergency department. A significant aspect of this role will involve providing bedside and traditional education to students, residents, and fellows. Additional responsibilities may include participation in departmental committees or administrative duties as assigned by the department chair.
Qualifications- Eligibility for credentialing as an Emergency Medicine Physician
- Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine
- PALS certification
- ACLS certification (not required if board certified)
- Valid medical license to practice in New York State
- DEA registration
Preferred Experience:
- Completion of an ACGME accredited residency in Emergency Medicine
