I m the regional medical director for Sound s emergency medicine practice at Montefiore Mount Vernon, in Mt Vernon, New York. I have been a part of Sound for four years. I proudly welcome interest from physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) coming out of training or desiring a career change. I d like to share more about it, specifically about our people, practice, and purpose, as you consider options:
People- Join our closely-knit, established team of eight physicians and seven advanced practice providers (APPs) working between Mount Vernon and Westchester Square.
- Our group brings together professionals from the tri-state area NYC, NJ, and Hudson Valley.
- I am involved in all medical staff meetings and committees, actively participating in decision-making.
- For 130 years, we ve proudly been a level III trauma community hospital dedicated to exceptional care.
- Our diverse patient population, situated near the Bronx, contributes to a low-volume ED with high acuity.
- Embrace a single physician coverage model and enjoy a supportive team environment.
- We gather as a team bi-monthly to promote collaboration and shared decision-making.
- With a focus on family and the outdoors, our flexible scheduling supports a healthy work-life balance, encouraging mutual support among colleagues.
- The expected annual compensation for this role is $70,000, in addition to the clinical hourly rate of $230 for days and $255 for nights.
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, and AD&D insurance, long- and short-term disability, 401k with match, paid medical malpractice and tail coverage, and annual CME allowance.
