POSITION SUMMARY: PRC Resources is on the lookout for a talented Pump Repair Specialist to enhance our team. The ideal candidate will focus on field service, maintenance, and restoration of a variety of pump systems, particularly centrifugal and self-priming pumps. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, practical skills, and exceptional customer service to guarantee that equipment functions reliably and efficiently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The Pump Repair Specialist will frequently operate in field settings, which may encompass industrial, construction, or municipal environments. The role may involve working in noisy surroundings, handling hazardous materials, and adapting to varying weather conditions. Safety is paramount, and adherence to safety protocols and use of protective gear is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess, troubleshoot, and rectify mechanical problems in centrifugal and self-priming pumps, along with other pump varieties as required.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and servicing on pumps to avert failures and ensure peak performance.
  • Dismantle and reassemble pumps, identifying and replacing worn or damaged components as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with clients to comprehend their requirements and deliver solutions that meet or surpass expectations.
  • Evaluate and calibrate pumps post-repair or installation to confirm proper functionality.
  • Offer technical assistance and advice to clients regarding the upkeep and operation of their pump systems.
  • Maintain precise records of services rendered, parts utilized, and time allocated to each task.
  • Stay informed about industry standards and innovations in pump technology and repair methodologies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Pump Repair Specialist, with specific knowledge in centrifugal and self-priming pumps.
  • Solid understanding of the mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems associated with pump functionality.
  • Capability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field as well as collaboratively as part of a team when necessary.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical clients.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations for service engagements, which may involve occasional overnight stays.
  • Physical capability to lift heavy machinery and operate in diverse environmental conditions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical repair is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in pump maintenance and repair, particularly with centrifugal and self-priming pumps.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
