Position Title: Golf Starter
Reports To: Director of Golf and Director of Outside Operations
Role Objective: To foster a friendly atmosphere by welcoming all members and guests, while delivering exceptional and prompt service. Supporting the Director of Outside Operations in various operational tasks, including: ensuring the driving range is fully operational and stocked, managing club communications, overseeing the upkeep of the golf cart fleet, and maintaining a high standard of service for members and their guests.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver outstanding and prompt service to members and their guests.
- Adhere to all protocols outlined in the Outside Operations Procedure Manual.
- Oversee the opening and closing processes of the outside operations facility.
- Inform players through posted notices regarding any limitations on the use of golf carts, the driving range, or other practice facilities when applicable.
- Communicate effectively with Outside Operations staff regarding daily activities and responsibilities.
- Ensure that all preparations for the daily golf range and practice areas are completed accurately.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bag room, cart storage area, and starter booth.
- Oversee the routine and scheduled maintenance of the golf carts, keeping detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs to the cart, GPS systems, and battery care.
- Manage the rotation of golf carts to ensure equitable usage and prolong the lifespan of the fleet.
- Ensure each golf cart is cleaned daily and undergoes regular detailing as part of the maintenance schedule.
- Maintain the visual appeal of the golf operation, including bag racks, benches, and waste receptacles, through regular upkeep.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Director of Golf or Head Golf Professional.
Availability to work during holidays, weekends, and evenings is required.
