Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinic Operations Representative to join our team at Children's National Health System. As a Clinic Operations Representative, you will provide exceptional patient services and administrative support in our clinics, ensuring a positive experience for our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate and timely scheduling of patients using our scheduling system.
  • Collect and verify demographic and insurance information, updating systems as needed to ensure registration accuracy.
  • Reschedule appointments for patients who did not show or for cancellations by providers/technologists.
  • Greet patients and parents courteously, ensuring a welcoming environment.
  • Obtain required consents and distribute compliance-related materials, such as HIPAA Privacy Notices and Patient Rights.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and notify parents of the need for completed insurance referral forms or pre-authorizations.
  • Collect and record co-payments, deposits, and payments in full, providing receipts to patients.
  • Reconcile schedules for upcoming clinic sessions, ensuring accounts are set up for billing and services requiring authorization are flagged.
  • Answer telephone calls and address caller needs appropriately, managing voice mail messages within the same business day.
  • Distribute mail and maintain office files and supplies at PAR levels.
  • Maintain a clean reception area and workspace.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED (Required)
  • 1 year of experience performing billing, patient registration, and scheduling, medical insurance verification, and insurance screening (Required)
  • Broad clinic knowledge, customer service skills, and computer knowledge necessary
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred (Word & Excel)
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute required
