POSITION SUMMARY
This role serves as a vital support function within the Business Development team, facilitating communication and collaboration among various departments including production, engineering, and logistics.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage distributor account details related to service requests, order processing, conflict resolution, and inventory status.
- Input distributor sales orders into the operational system.
- Handle requests for modifications to sales orders, including changes to delivery schedules, quantities, and shipping instructions.
- Research and respond to inquiries regarding pricing, order updates, and material availability.
- Oversee backorder reports and work with production planning to accelerate delivery timelines.
- Engage regularly with distributors to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
- Identify distributor requirements through effective communication with sales personnel and distributor representatives.
- Track and maintain records of sales activities and backorder service metrics.
- Achieve proficiency in EPDM and EC processes, JDE (MRP System), and Laserfiche.
- Organize and maintain documentation files.
- Distribute necessary documentation internally and externally.
- Compile information and data for analytical purposes.
- Act as a liaison for production and procurement of components.
- Facilitate the acquisition of prints and drawings for operational needs.
- Generate operational metric reports for departmental use as required.
- Keep controlled copies of all documents relevant to an order, such as purchase orders, drawings, revisions, approvals, pricing sheets, and customer communications.
- Create and update customer manuals as necessary.
- Establish and maintain essential logs.
- Adhere to all Circor company policies and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Familiarity with the manufacturing sector.
- Proficient in computer applications, particularly MS Office, with a solid understanding of PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional time management and organizational capabilities.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 2 years of college education or equivalent experience in clerical/administrative roles, project administration, or document control.
- Previous experience in customer service, document management, or project support.
