Overview:
The salary ranges posted reflect our targeted base pay hiring range for the position. The final determination on base pay for any position will be determined based on multiple factors to ensure pay equity within the organization. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Initiates, develops, and sustains sales of the Touchstone Funds within the designated region. Coordinates the sales initiatives of the internal sales representatives. Exemplifies principled leadership and sound business ethics; demonstrates consistency among principles, values, and behavior; and cultivates trust with others through authenticity and reliability in commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organizes and conducts external and internal sales meetings with financial professionals to persuade them to promote and sell funds within the assigned region.
- Oversees daily sales activities of the internal sales representatives within the designated area.
- Facilitates one-on-one consultations, seminars, and training sessions with both financial professionals and retail clients.
- Reviews industry publications regarding market trends, fund performance, and manager philosophies to engage in relevant discussions in the broker/dealer community.
- Manages the territory to optimize sales while effectively utilizing agreed-upon expenses. Prepares annual budgets for sales and broker/dealer support expenses. Submits expense reports on a weekly basis.
- Participates in and conducts seminars and conferences.
- Focuses on retaining existing assets and clients. Collaborates with the Home Office to address significant redemptions.
- Maintains and updates the territory database for accuracy with internal sales representatives.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively interpret and convey information between internal and external sales teams in a clear, focused, and concise manner while adhering to proper rules of punctuation, diction, and style.
- Proven ability to prepare correspondence, reports, and forms using a prescribed format.
- Exemplary presentation skills.
- Proven experience in influencing others to initiate recommended actions to resolve issues or enhance efficiency.
- Must provide examples of self-motivation and experience working independently.
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Provide examples of organization and time management strategies used to manage or prioritize workload demands.
- Proven experience managing multiple responsibilities and completing assigned tasks accurately and promptly.
- Demonstrated successful experience in sales within the financial services sector.
Work Environment:
- This position requires travel and working in various office environments, necessitating the ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a desk, on a computer, or in meetings. Frequent movement of wrists, hands, and fingers is required for continuous computer work.
- Ability to drive a personal vehicle across a relatively large geographic area, including daily and overnight travel up to 50-75%.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience based on selection criteria.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Certifications & Licenses:
- FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses required or FINRA 6, 63, and 65.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory and safe driving record required.
- Maintain appropriate vehicle insurance.
Position Demands:
- Extended hours may be required during peak workloads or special projects.
- Extensive travel is required.
