Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Senior Patient Care Coordinator to enhance our team. This role is pivotal in executing established processes and protocols while fostering a cooperative environment among care team members.

Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients, families, and visitors with a warm demeanor.
- Assist patients with registration and check-in procedures.
- Accurately input and verify patient demographic and insurance details in our system.
- Confirm insurance eligibility and inform patients about their benefits.
- Collect co-payments and outstanding balances.
- Manage incoming calls with professionalism, directing inquiries as necessary.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to coordinate follow-up care and schedule referrals.
- Facilitate the transfer of patient records to primary care providers.
- Support onboarding for new team members and assist with various administrative tasks.
- Maintain an organized daily schedule and ensure compliance with operational standards.

Work Schedule:
This position operates Monday through Friday, encompassing a 37.5-hour work week.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical front office role, handling appointment scheduling and insurance verification.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Epic software.
- Understanding of insurance carriers and managed care systems.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
