POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead Business Systems Analyst / Functional Specialist for JD Edwards will enhance the effectiveness of our enterprise software by aligning functional requirements with technical solutions. This role will concentrate on our financial management modules within JD Edwards, while also leading the development and execution of efficient processes that align with AZEK's Financial and IT control frameworks. This position presents a unique opportunity to utilize advanced JD Edwards expertise to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within AZEK's financial operations. The position reports to the Director of ERP.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solutions Delivery & Project Management

  • Design and implement new technological capabilities and processes within the ERP System and associated applications.
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of standardized and scalable processes within JD Edwards, ensuring alignment with key business stakeholders and IT leadership.
  • Facilitate improved financial decision-making through enhanced utilization of AAIs and JD Edwards native functionalities, including audit and reconciliation processes.
  • Promote standard processes and core functional offerings where applicable.
  • Research and propose system updates and new tools to continuously enhance solution functionality and stability.
  • Drive the data and analytics initiatives within JD Edwards tools and technologies, including Data Dictionary, Business Functions, and Report Design Aid.

Services & Operations

  • Provide customer-centric, service-oriented troubleshooting for user-reported issues, ensuring appropriate urgency and quality in responses.
  • Consult on application solutions for various business units until their integration into enterprise standards.
  • Implement and enhance IT General Controls for the supported application area, advocating for process rigor within the IT team and its clients.
  • Document standard operating procedures to facilitate support transitions to third-party partners.
  • Conduct problem tracking, root cause analysis, post-mortems, and follow-up on action items.
  • Effectively train system users on new functionalities, data interpretation, and self-service reporting.
  • Adhere to company policies and values throughout all tasks.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in delivering large-scale, strategic software projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing, consumer products, and distribution sectors.
  • At least 5 years of experience with JD Edwards products, implementing and supporting multiple modules.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience collaborating with business partners, fellow analysts, and IT team members to understand requirements and develop well-architected, stable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

  • Strong understanding of business processes and operations across the enterprise, particularly in manufacturing, supply chain management, finance, sales and marketing, and distribution.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships; work collaboratively in teams; proactively manage stakeholder expectations; and be recognized as a trusted advisor.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; ability to articulate a point of view and drive business decisions effectively.

Success Measures:

Within 90 Days:

  • Demonstrate functional and technical knowledge relevant to the AZEK JD Edwards environment, providing foundational support for system enhancements.
  • Establish strong relationships with business partners, becoming a trusted ally to the Finance and Accounting team.
  • Champion standard processes and core functional offerings where applicable.
  • Research and recommend system updates and new tools to enhance solution functionality and stability.
  • Drive the data and analytics initiatives within JD Edwards tools and technologies.

Within 6 Months:

  • Exhibit advanced functional and technical knowledge relevant to the AZEK JD Edwards environment, providing significant support for system enhancements.
  • Design and implement new technological capabilities and processes within the ERP System and related applications.
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of standardized and scalable processes within JD Edwards, ensuring alignment with key business stakeholders and IT leadership.
  • Support improved financial decision-making through enhanced utilization of AAIs and JD Edwards native functionalities.
  • Ensure effective training programs and documentation for user adoption.

Within 1 Year:

  • Demonstrate expert functional and technical knowledge relevant to the AZEK JD Edwards environment, providing expert support for system enhancements.
  • Develop and execute a business partner-aligned JD Edwards roadmap focused on AZEK's Finance and IT General controls framework, Finance and Accounting Operations automation, and system integrity and reconciliation processes.
