Join a dynamic and inclusive business technology team. As a Senior Business Systems Consultant within the Information Research (IR) division of AbbVie's Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you will play a crucial role in the digital transformation of a prominent biopharmaceutical organization, contributing to solutions that positively influence patients and their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Junior Business Systems Analyst student group and their related initiatives.
- Guide teams of IRAP students to achieve objectives on designated projects for internal AbbVie stakeholders.
- Assist in identifying project opportunities from internal clients across AbbVie, particularly within BTS.
- Ensure the comprehensive development needs of students are addressed, including career advancement activities and regular performance discussions.
- Co-manage recruitment efforts at targeted educational institutions and supervise all student hiring and onboarding processes for IRAP.
- Identify engagement opportunities with IRAP's target schools that align with BTS's mission.
- Organize and facilitate activities for students and other special events.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills and Tools:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Strong meeting facilitation capabilities.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Consulting and business systems analysis expertise.
Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of technical experience, or a Master's degree with at least 4 years of experience. Candidates with 9 years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
- Experience in leading or mentoring college students.
- Demonstrated organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects with various teams and collaborators.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
- Understanding of academic and student services programs within higher education.
- Passion for mentoring young adults and supporting their success in the professional environment.
- Capability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strategic thinking ability.
- Proven learning agility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience as a business systems analyst or consultant.
