Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct support for the ERP technical framework on a daily basis, including leading solution analysis, design, development, coding, testing, implementation, maintenance, and documentation of financial systems.
  • Lead new development initiatives, system updates, modifications, and document application and technical changes in a multi-tier software environment.
  • Conduct code reviews and suggest enhancements. Serve as a senior systems analyst for the Financials Enterprise Applications team and for other software applications as assigned.
  • Assist with application administration tasks as necessary. Support the application of required patches, maintenance updates, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers on technical development and assist with project requirements and system initiatives, including status reporting.
  • In the absence of the Financial Systems Manager, assume their responsibilities as needed. Engage directly with internal clients to troubleshoot issues and seek resolutions.
  • Be available for system issues that arise during regular and off-duty hours, particularly during critical processing times.
  • Work collaboratively with team members, database administrators, system administrators, network and cybersecurity personnel, and software vendors to coordinate, plan, and resolve issues.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise with assigned software tools. Apply proven software development methodologies and practices to ensure quality delivery of products and services.
  • Ensure Financials packaged software is current, including completing retrofits for maintenance updates and all phases of technical upgrades.
  • Stay informed about technological advancements and innovations in the field.
  • Assist functional departments in identifying and addressing their most pressing data, reporting, and analytical challenges.
  • Ensure that a quality and cost-effective solution is provided. Deliver exceptional customer service with a focus on courtesy and prompt problem resolution.
  • Notify higher-level supervisors or appropriate contacts when issues arise.
  • Collaborate with functional analysts and business users to comprehend system requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design, develop, and modify ERP package applications.
  • Follow best practices and maintain upgrade path policies.
  • Integrate ERP package applications with other systems, databases, and third-party applications using tools such as Web Services and APIs.
  • Identify performance bottlenecks, optimize code, and enhance application efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Analyze and resolve technical issues, defects, and bugs within ERP package applications, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure system stability.
  • Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, consistency, and adherence to established standards.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, configuration guides, and process flow diagrams.
  • Provide second and third-level technical support for ERP package application interfaces and modules.
  • Support third-party system interfaces.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience OR 12 years of experience may substitute for the degree.
  • Minimum of five years as a programmer or developer with experience in ERP package applications.
  • Functional knowledge of financial systems and accounting principles, particularly in Customer Contracts and Project Costing modules.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be willing to work Central Standard Time hours.
  • Ability to obtain a National Security Clearance or a U.S. Federal Government Public Trust.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field relevant to the position.
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle E-business, or Oracle Fusion.
  • Preference will be given to candidates located within proximity to a Guidehouse office.
