Lead Business Systems Analyst / ERP Functional Specialist

Position Overview

The Lead Business Systems Analyst will play a crucial role in optimizing the use of our enterprise resource planning (ERP) software by aligning functional requirements with technical solutions. This position will primarily focus on financial management modules, driving the development and execution of efficient processes that adhere to our financial and IT control frameworks. This role presents an excellent opportunity to utilize extensive JD Edwards expertise to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance within our financial functions.

Key Responsibilities

Solutions Delivery & Project Management

  • Design and implement new technological capabilities and processes within the ERP system and associated applications.
  • Lead the creation and deployment of standardized processes within JD Edwards, ensuring alignment with business needs and IT leadership.
  • Enhance financial decision-making through advanced utilization of JD Edwards features and reconciliation processes.
  • Promote standardization of processes and core functionalities wherever applicable.
  • Research and suggest system enhancements and new tools to continuously improve solution functionality.
  • Drive the analytics and data journey within JD Edwards, utilizing tools such as Data Dictionary and Report Design Aid.

Services & Operations

  • Provide exceptional, customer-focused support for user-reported issues, ensuring timely and effective resolutions.
  • Consult on application solutions for various business units until their integration into enterprise standards.
  • Implement and enhance IT General Controls for the supported applications, promoting process rigor.
  • Document standard operating procedures to facilitate support transitions to third-party partners.
  • Conduct problem tracking and follow-up on action items to ensure resolution.
  • Effectively train users on new functionalities and reporting tools.
  • Uphold company policies and values in all aspects of work.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years of experience in managing large-scale software projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years in manufacturing, consumer products, or distribution sectors.
  • At least 5 years of experience with JD Edwards, implementing and supporting various modules.
  • Proven experience collaborating with business partners and IT teams to develop effective solutions.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of business processes across manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and distribution.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships across functions and cultures.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
  • Proficient in leading organizational change and influencing stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and organized individual with a positive outlook.

Success Metrics

In the initial months, the successful candidate will demonstrate their functional and technical knowledge of the JD Edwards environment, establishing strong relationships with business partners and contributing to system enhancements. Over time, they will lead the design and implementation of new processes, ensuring effective training and documentation are in place for all users.
