Position Overview:
McWane, Inc. is looking for a Logistics and Inventory Coordinator.

Role Summary:


The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient flow of products in and out of the facility while upholding a clean and organized workspace. This includes the verification and documentation of incoming goods, as well as the preparation and arrangement of items for dispatch. Precision, attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to and promote safety principles to ensure a secure work environment.
  • Assist management in maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Employ proper lifting techniques and ergonomic practices.
  • Determine optimal shipping methods and routes for outgoing materials.
  • Inspect outgoing shipments to confirm compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate with carriers to arrange shipping and delivery logistics.
  • Monitor the status of shipments using tracking software.
  • Update internal systems with accurate shipping and receiving information.
  • Document shipment details, including counts and weights, for recordkeeping.
  • Prepare necessary shipping documents such as bills of lading.
  • Verify shipment contents against records to ensure accuracy.
  • Address discrepancies by communicating effectively with vendors.
  • Manage shipping materials and supplies inventory.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding shipping and scheduling from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Compile periodic reports for management review.

Qualifications:


To be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Microsoft AX is a plus.
  • A minimum of two years' experience in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Skills:


Candidates should possess the ability to interpret safety regulations and operational guidelines, write routine reports, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Basic mathematical skills are necessary for problem-solving.


Physical and Work Environment:


This role requires the ability to stand, walk, and use hands for extended periods. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. The work environment may involve exposure to varying temperatures, noise levels, and machinery.
