Position Overview:


Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. is seeking a dynamic Manager to spearhead our newly formed Logistics Shared Service Center in Costa Rica.

This leader will play a crucial role in assembling a team that will encompass several supervisory, analytical, and specialist roles.

This position is integral to the senior leadership team within the Logistics division and will report directly to the Director of Logistics based at our headquarters.


This role is considered transformative and will be key in enhancing overall operational efficiency and contributing to the optimization of our Global Logistics Group.

The individual will be evaluated on their ability to effectively manage and lead the Shared Service Center team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence, with a strong emphasis on coaching and development.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a dedicated team in Costa Rica, ensuring seamless integration of logistics operations with global headquarters and regional logistics teams.
  • Take a leadership role in the recruitment process to build out the new service capabilities.
  • Integrate the Shared Service Center with existing systems, processes, and resources.
  • Collaborate with the corporate transition team to migrate identified activities and implement training within the Shared Service Center.
  • Establish clear goals and objectives in partnership with the corporate team to achieve specified outcomes.
  • Focus on business results related to operational transparency, enhanced predictability, data harmonization, reduced exceptions, and cost analytics.
  • Identify and report opportunities for improvement across End-to-End operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Design and implement standard operating process changes to enhance reporting and visibility, including the use of Power BI.
  • Demonstrate strong collaboration skills to align logistics strategies with broader business objectives and the supply chain organization.
  • Utilize a solid background in data analytics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Possess a sound understanding of operating systems, ERP, TMS, and carrier data exchanges.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field with a minimum GPA of 3.00; a Master's degree is advantageous.
  • 10-15 years of logistics experience, preferably in multi-modal global operations or other Shared Service Centers with a global scope.
  • Exceptional communication skills with extensive experience in coordinating with executives and global cross-functional leaders.
  • Proven experience in leading offshore Shared Service Centers and integrating with plant operations.
  • Proficient in Power BI, TMS, and ERP-SAP.
  • Certification in data analytics for strategic logistics decision-making is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, promoting, and retaining talent.
  • Preferred experience in the consumer electronics sector.
  • Strong skills in contract management, logistics operations, organizational/administrative tasks, and project management.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Knowledgeable in trade compliance and customs regulations.
