Summary of Duties Coordinate purchase of medical supplies, office supplies, forms, andequipmentOrganize the storageand catalog location of supplies and equipment for efficient handling and toprevent deterioration. Input data andprocesses information to designated sources. Ensure compliance with all standards and regulations of recordsprocessing. EssentialJob Functions 1. Issueand deliver supplies and equipment in accordance with established policies andprocedures. 2. Assistin preparing correspondence and claims concerning damaged merchandise, errorsin shipments, etc., and return to vendor as required. 3. Assistin developing methods for determining quantity of supplies, including personalprotective equipment (PPE), and equipment required and inventory control. 4. Fillrequisitions, as approved, and files in accordance with established policiesand procedures. 5. Checkinvoices, purchase orders, packing slips, with incoming merchandise. 6. Organizestorage and catalog location of supplies and equipment for efficient handlingand to prevent deterioration. 7. Conductand complete chart reviews as assigned by the Director of NursingServices/Clinical Services Administrator. 8. Provide nursing care to residents including activitiesof daily living. 9. Keep resident rooms and resident care areas clean andneat. 10. Participate in the orientation of new residents tofacility. 11. Document care as instructed and required. 12. Report all changes in the resident's condition (i.e.,areas of redness, skin tears, bruising, mental status change, eating habits,etc.) to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse as soon as practical. 13. Check each resident routinely to ensure that his/herpersonal care needs are being met. 14. Assist in transporting resident to/from dining room,therapy, activity and social programs, etc., as necessary. Encourage resident to participate in activityprograms. 15. Perform restorative and rehabilitative procedures asinstructed. 16. Assist with lifting, turning, moving, positioning, andtransporting residents into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs,lifts, etc., as necessary, utilizing facility technique. 17. Performother duties and responsibilities including special projects as assigned. Responsibilities 1. Ensureinventory is updated as required, when receiving/issuing supplies andequipment. 2. Ensurethat vendors provide appropriate material safety data sheets (MSDSs)/SafetyData Sheets (SDS) in accordance with current OSHA regulations and thefacility's policies and procedures. Report problem areas to the Director of Nursing Services/ClinicalServices Administrator. 3. Maintain a good working rapport with staff, visitorsand residents. 4. Report all grievances and complaints voiced byresidents or family to the nursing supervisor and/or charge nurse. 5. Ensure work area is maintained in a clean and safemanner and that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained to performrequired duties. 6. Participate in staff development programs and staffmeetings. 7. Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personalinterest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment. 8. Maintain established organizational policies andprocedures, safety, environmental standards and infection control procedures. 9. Report all unsafe/hazardous conditions and/or defectiveequipment immediately. 10. Adhere to work assignment and work schedule. 11. Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere todress code. 12. Comply with Corporate ComplianceProgram. 13. Maintainconfidentiality of resident and respects residents' privacy and dignity. 14. Treat all residents fairly, with kindness, dignity, andrespect. 15. Report all allegations of resident abuse, neglectand/or misappropriation of resident property promptly to charge nurse. 16. Report occupational exposures to blood, body fluids,infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals to the supervisor. Education High school diplomaor equivalent preferred. Must bea Certified Nursing Assistant or obtain certification within 4 months of hire. Experience Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred.Experience in medical/surgical supply environment preferred. Specific Requirements 1. Mustpossess flexibility. 2. Mustpossess strong communication skills. 3. Must be able to manage multiple projects. 4. Musthave the ability to organize and prioritize work. 5. Mustpossess computer skills and demonstrate the ability to become proficient withappropriate software. 6. Must beable to follow oral and written instructions. 7. Must beable to relate information concerning a resident's condition.
