Shift: Flexible Schedule

Key Responsibilities:

As a vital member of our team, you will ensure that patients are financially cleared for all appointments. Your duties will include:

  • Conducting eligibility verification and obtaining necessary pre-certifications and authorizations.
  • Correcting registration errors and managing pre-bill edits.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clinical partners to ensure seamless collaboration between departments.
  • Providing exemplary service to both internal and external clients.

+ Proactively engage with insurance providers to verify eligibility and benefits within established timelines.

+ Ensure compliance with pre-authorization requirements from third-party payers.

+ Collaborate closely with clinical teams to resolve authorization issues and minimize denials.

+ Maintain accurate documentation of all interactions with patients and insurance representatives.

+ Calculate patient financial responsibilities accurately and provide personalized estimates prior to service.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

+ Discretion in handling confidential patient information.

+ Ability to adapt to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.

+ Strong multitasking and prioritization skills with attention to detail.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bilingual skills (English required, Spanish preferred).

+ Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR).

+ Experience in insurance authorizations and understanding of medical terminology.

Education and Experience:

+ Minimum of one year in Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, or related fields.

+ Preferred: Associate degree or higher education, with two years of experience in oncology-related operations.
