POSITION SUMMARY The MRI Technologist role at Radiology & Imaging Specialists of Lakeland is dedicated to executing a variety of MRI examinations in an outpatient setting, with an emphasis on delivering outstanding patient service and ensuring high-quality care. Key responsibilities include following established protocols, demonstrating compassion towards patients, and aiming for their overall satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducting standard MRI examinations in accordance with established guidelines with minimal oversight.
- Documenting essential patient information, including medical history and referring physicians.
- Tracking injections and reviewing pertinent laboratory results.
- Safeguarding patient confidentiality, safety, and comfort.
- Restocking examination rooms and ensuring equipment is well-maintained.
- Assisting with other imaging modalities as necessary.
- Promoting effective communication and collaboration within the team.
- Maintaining required professional credentials.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology preferred.
High School Diploma or GED is required.
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT certification and Florida licensure are mandatory, along with advanced MRI certification.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Expertise in patient positioning, troubleshooting equipment, and establishing rapport with patients and colleagues. Physical requirements include the ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift. Vision and hearing capabilities are essential for this role.
