About the Position:

Wells Fargo is in search of an experienced Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to play a pivotal role within our Engineering Enablement division, specifically in the Consumer Technology (CT) team. This essential position focuses on designing and enhancing our bank's hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer expert-level insights on cloud migration strategies, modernization standards, and operational practices.
  • Maintain a thought leadership role in cloud technologies, staying informed about the offerings from various cloud service providers.
  • Oversee the architecture of hybrid cloud migrations across the CT application portfolio.
  • Actively participate in the CT Cloud Center of Excellence to establish and enforce best practices in cloud engineering, operations, and governance.
  • Plan and execute the selection of new cloud services and tools to facilitate the cloud roadmap through proof of concepts.
  • Comprehend cloud blueprints and reference implementations of cloud products, providing guidance to product engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with technology controls and security teams to develop secure application patterns, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Work with teams to offer guidance on cloud platforms and escalate risks and issues as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate challenges and issues to engage discussions among key stakeholders, including product engineering, platform operations, CTO teams, and executives.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Specialty Software Engineering or equivalent, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 3 years of experience in delivering large-scale distributed applications on hybrid cloud platforms such as Cloud Foundry, Azure, and Google Cloud, with a focus on performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
  • Certification as an Azure and/or Cloud Foundry Solution Architect.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing web and desktop applications using Java and .NET frameworks.
  • 2 years of experience in troubleshooting and performance management utilizing tools like Splunk and Prometheus.
  • 3 years of experience with Agile development methodologies and test-driven development.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with infrastructure-as-code and policy-as-code technologies, such as Terraform and Sentinel policy frameworks.
  • 3 years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools, including Jenkins, Urban Code, Harness, and Helm.
  • Familiarity with container technologies, particularly Kubernetes.
