Key Responsibilities:


Deliver expert guidance in the development of cloud and hybrid architectures that operate on Azure, encompassing Compute, Networking, Storage, Monitoring, and Security.

Consult with stakeholders to translate business needs into effective designs for Azure Landing Zone solutions that adhere to the Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework.

Design and deploy scalable, secure, and economically viable cloud platform solutions that fulfill customer requirements.

Drive automation and orchestration initiatives to enhance the provisioning, deployment, and management of foundational Cloud Infrastructure components, ensuring they can scale securely.

Create, implement, and document architectural patterns, cloud architecture designs, implementation protocols, and operational best practices.

Provide architectural guidance, mentorship, and cloud expertise to cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Collaborate with various roles, including Cloud Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Developers, Administrators, Security Engineers, and Network Engineers, to implement solutions on Azure.

Execute the cloud technology, application, and platform strategy, ensuring performance management through collaboration with partner teams across finance, risk, marketing, and operations, as well as divisional Cloud leads.

Offer insights on divisional operating procedures and standards for cloud applications, alongside contingency planning in partnership with business leaders and the risk organization.

Lead the definition, development, and testing of cloud technology and application utilization to meet divisional objectives.

Oversee the cloud integration architectural process by establishing application and platform standards, guidelines, best practices, and governance. Ensure implementation activities uphold architecture and design principles.

Engage with end-users and IT senior developers to ensure alignment of cloud models and applications with architectural standards.

Provide clarity and direction in situations of architectural ambiguity; communicate effectively with senior leadership stakeholders within the organization.

Influence senior leaders regarding the strategic direction of cloud and data center transformation initiatives.

Research emerging technologies, develop proof-of-concept prototypes, and create implementation models.

Ensure that implementation solutions align with architectural objectives such as availability, scalability, performance, and security.

Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a diverse group of stakeholders and establish relationships with IT leaders, architects, and technical specialists to advance proposed architectural solutions.

Analyze the competitive landscape and corporate strategies to provide context for architectural decision-making.

Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.



Qualifications:
A recognized thought leader with exceptional communication skills.

Ability to provide clarity and direction in situations of architectural ambiguity; effectively communicate with stakeholders at all organizational levels.

Experience with Core Azure Services, Azure governance, Security, Networking, Express Route, S2S VPN devices, Site Recovery, Azure Monitor, RBAC, and virtual network and subscription peering.

Ability to quickly acquire and apply knowledge of Azure Services.

Familiarity with scalable architecture utilizing Azure Services, serverless technologies, and container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes.

Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including GitHub and CI/CD pipelines.

Expertise in Cloud Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools such as Terraform.

Experience with logging and monitoring.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to manage diverse situations, multiple projects, and rapidly changing priorities.

Microsoft certifications are a plus.

A minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, including at least five years in a technology architect role.

An undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
