Advanced Claims Analyst for General Liability

Position Overview:
The Senior Claims Analyst will manage and evaluate general liability claims with moderate complexity under general supervision. This role involves ensuring that claims are adjudicated in accordance with company standards and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Analyze and process third-party property damage claims by conducting thorough investigations and gathering necessary information to assess claim exposure.
2. Ensure proactive claims management aimed at achieving prompt and cost-effective resolutions through well-structured action plans.
3. Identify coverage issues and prepare detailed coverage letters with supervisory oversight, engaging coverage counsel when necessary.
4. Assess liability and resolve claims within established evaluation parameters.
5. Maintain accurate diaries and complete tasks within the timelines set by departmental guidelines, ensuring claim files are well-documented with clear analyses on coverage, damages, reserves, and liability, including action plans for resolution.
6. Process and pay invoices promptly.
7. Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigations or litigation management.
8. Calculate and assign appropriate reserves, monitoring their accuracy throughout the claim lifecycle.
9. Refer cases to supervisors and management as needed and respond to requests in a professional manner.
10. Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials as required.
11. Successfully complete necessary state licensing examinations and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in claims handling.
- Strong decision-making skills and negotiation abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Relevant claim designations such as AIC or AINS are preferred.
- Required claim adjuster licenses.
