We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a FCF Days Shift Supervisor at Idaho National Laboratory. This role is a critical part of our operations, and we are looking for someone who can lead our team with expertise and passion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage employees who perform similar or related tasks, and may manage more than one shift or team and subordinate managers.
- Receive assignments based on incremental goals and defined processes.
- Help develop overall goals and long-term goals of the department.
- Recommend changes to sub-unit, unit, or discipline policies.
- Work with subordinate supervisors and functional peer groups, interpreting and explaining information to audiences familiar with the subject.
- Gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific programs.
- Be willing to be placed on shift in absence of a "Shift" shift supervisor.
- Oversee nuclear facility daily operations and maintenance activities.
- Work with process operators and facility operators to ensure procedural changes are implemented to reflect the current revisions.
- Provide input for procedural changes when procedures cannot be performed as written.
- Be a facility liaison between the nuclear facility and the maintenance crafts to ensure all maintenance is performed following the plan of the week (POW).
- Review all work documentation to ensure facility initial conditions are established before releasing the work to be performed.
- Ensure facility configuration is maintained within the authorized safety basis.
- Demonstrate and integrate Human Performance Improvement (HPI) knowledge in all work processes.
- Lead the environment where use of HPI tools are the normal standard practice, expected and appreciated.
- Must hold a current FCF SS qualifications and FCF FMHS qualifications.
- Must be qualified FCF SS for a minimum of 5 years.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship.
