Job Summary

The primary function of this role is to deliver and pick up parts as needed, while also maintaining and cleaning the parts truck. This position involves driving company vehicles in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws, and reporting any motor vehicle violations to the supervisor by the end of the shift.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver parts to the shop and customers.
  • Pick up parts from local suppliers as needed for the service department.
  • Maintain and clean the parts truck, performing pre-trip inspections, fueling, checking oil, and washing.
  • Assist in housekeeping and stocking parts in both the parts and service departments.
  • Clean and deliver cores to the Parts department, ensuring they are appropriately tagged and boxed.
  • Assist shipping with returns, cores, etc., helping to get them boxed, crated, and ready to ship.
  • Assist the Parts Manager with year-end inventory and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Valid Driver's License and clean driving record.

Desire to learn all phases of the business for possible promotion.

Working Conditions

This position involves both sedentary and physical work. For part of the shift, the employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephoning, filing, and ten-key. For part of the shift, the employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers.

Lifting of at least 50 pounds without assistance on a daily basis, as well as heavier loads with forklifts and/or additional assistance will be required. The employee will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
