Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor - Lead Mechanic to join our team at Grand Canyon Resort Corporation. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our equipment, vehicles, and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance mechanics and small engine mechanics to ensure timely and efficient completion of tasks.
  • Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are performed in accordance with safety and health policies and procedures.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop team members to improve their skills and performance.
  • Perform regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Responsible for inventory control and management of equipment, engines, and supplies.
  • Assist mechanics with maintenance and repair of equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and general manager to ensure maintenance needs are met.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Commercial driver's license preferred.
  • Certified mechanic preferred.
  • Prior auto mechanic experience required.
  • Leadership experience desired.
  • High school diploma or GED with certifications required.
  • Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
  • This position requires proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work indoors in a shop environment as well as in outdoor environments occasionally. Must be able to routinely walk, stand, bend, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of duties. Must be able to work varying schedules, weekends, and holidays.
