Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Mortgage Loan Processor to join our dynamic lending team at Motto Mortgage IMG. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in mortgage processing, a strong analytical mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan File Management: Ensure that loan files meet banking and regulatory guidelines and policies.
  • Documentation Collection: Collect and verify necessary financial documentation, such as credit reports, to complete mortgage loan applications and determine creditworthiness.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between borrowers, mortgage brokers, loan officers, real estate agents, and mortgage lending underwriters to support loan approval.
  • Loan Processing: Input detailed loan process documentation in our system, from origination to close.
  • Loan Analysis: Verify that loans originated can be done according to available programs and investor guidelines.
  • Documentation Review: Reviews and analyzes all loan documentation received, such as appraisals, loan applications, credit reports, income, assets, and title insurance.
  • Accuracy and Compliance: Checks ratios and verifies the accuracy of AUS findings and program applicability.
  • Software Input: Inputs loan file documentation accurately into necessary software programs.
  • Application Submission: Reviews and submits applications and conditions to the underwriter for approval.
  • Documentation Orders: Orders third-party documentation and reports.
  • Status Updates: Provides status updates to Mortgage Loan Officers.
  • Issue Identification: Identifies potential issues and communicates with the Mortgage Loan Officer.
  • Loan Cycle Time: Monitors overall loan processing cycle time to ensure loan closes on time.
  • Underwriting Clearance: Obtains and verifies clearance of all underwriting conditions and prepares the file for submission to closing.
  • Attendance and Reliability: Regular and Reliable attendance is required as an essential function of this position.
Requirements:
  • Communication Skills: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Mortgage Lending Experience: Experience in mortgage lending and knowledge of loan types, such as FHA, FHLB, FNMA, or VA loans required.
  • Loan Processing Experience: Minimum of 2+ years loan processing experience required.
  • Attention to Detail: Must possess exceptional attention to detail, as well as strong analytical and time management skills.
  • Education: Accounting, finance, or business Associate's degree preferred - High school diploma or GED required.
  • Originating Loans: Proven history of originating purchase loans.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient technical skills (Microsoft or Google Suite, experience using a CRM to manage leads, etc.)
