Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Retail Backroom Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient processing and merchandising of products, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute receiving and merchandising standards to ensure efficient processing and stocking of merchandise
  • Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure smooth flow of goods to the sales floor
  • Monitor productivity of the team and provide coaching as needed to optimize performance
  • Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and maintain all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area
  • Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote a culture of sustainability
  • Provide accurate and timely updates to management and Associates on priorities and progress
  • Participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, and promote safety awareness and a safe work environment
Requirements
  • 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience
  • Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills

This position has a starting pay range of $17.28 to $17.78 per hour. The full range of the position is $17.28 to $27.20 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
