Description

Shift: 8:00am - 6:30pm

4 days per week (specific days may vary)

We are looking for a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist. Our nursing professionals play a crucial role in collaborative teams across hospitals and clinics dedicated to exceptional patient care. Emory Johns Creek is not just a healthcare facility; we are an essential part of the community.
  • Proficient clinician with extensive experience in patient care, possessing a deep understanding of specific patient populations.
  • Regularly applies knowledge, theoretical frameworks, research, and personal experience to adapt to evolving clinical situations.
  • Under general supervision, exhibits comprehensive knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways, team dynamics, and healthcare systems.
  • Integrates the AACN Synergy Model into everyday clinical practice.
  • Appropriately delegates responsibilities while utilizing the Synergy model of care, recognizing the roles of the interdisciplinary team and patient/family care partners as essential resources in patient care planning.
  • Assumes a developing leadership role, serving as Charge Nurse when assigned.
  • Provides orientation for staff or students in the absence of a designated preceptor.
  • Proactively identifies potential patient crises through continuous evaluation of patient outcomes.
  • Determines and implements appropriate actions in non-routine situations, seeking assistance for complex issues as needed.
  • Coordinates diagnostic procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with at least 24 months of recent nursing experience within the last five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
  • Must possess a valid, active, unencumbered Nursing license or a temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
  • BLS certification (AHA) is required, and ACLS certification may be necessary in designated departments.
