Role Responsibilities:
As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, your responsibilities will include:
  • Documenting patient histories and vital signs
  • Conducting mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Responding to and managing medical and mental health emergencies
  • Assisting with daily triage, minor medical/surgical procedures, patient assessments, and treatments
  • Implementing and documenting prescribed protocols
  • Monitoring and evaluating the performance of nursing staff

Qualifications:
To qualify for the Clinical Nurse Specialist position, candidates must possess:
  • A current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in Georgia
  • A valid CPR certification
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a healthcare environment, with preference given to those with correctional healthcare experience
  • The ability to stand or walk for extended periods while performing job duties
