Job Summary

As a Sales/Trading Assistant II at Raymond James, you will play a critical role in supporting the trading and sales teams in processing trades and communicating with clients and back office operations. Under limited supervision, you will utilize your specialized knowledge and skills in securities trading/sales to assist in processing trades, communicating with clients, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and confirm transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare management reports and provide data analysis to support business decisions.
  • Advise colleagues on complex problems and issues, and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Maintain and update account files, and perform administrative tasks as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and sales and/or trading personnel, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve business processes.
  • Plan, organize, and maintain effective and efficient workflow, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Access, interpret, and apply market and client information, and communicate this information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Initiate client transaction-related communication to support sales and/or trading activities.
  • Execute trades, and participate in face-to-face client meetings.
  • Assist in compliance review processes, and operate standard office equipment and software applications.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a sales or trading role within the securities or financial services industry.
  • OR any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
  • SIE required, provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.
  • Series 7/Series 63 License or appropriate series license(s) for assigned functional area, or International equivalent.
