Role Overview:
The Regional Consultant for RIA & Private Banking will focus on delivering specialized support and knowledge within the Pacific Northwestern US region to enhance asset flows and engagement with New York Life Investment's (NYLI) diverse asset management offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhancing visibility and understanding of NYLIM/MainStay strategies within the Registered Investment Advisor and Private Banking sectors across the designated territory.
- Proactively engaging with sophisticated independent RIAs (with AUM exceeding $100 million) and Private Banking teams that may not have previously interacted with NYLI, identifying significant growth opportunities.
- Building relationships with key stakeholders within RIA and Private Bank firms to assess their business models and demonstrate how NYLI strategies can be effectively integrated.
- Identifying and reporting new opportunities for product placement to leadership and national accounts teams.
- Representing NYLI at industry conferences and events, showcasing our offerings and expertise.
- Staying informed on NYLI’s investment strategies, themes, and recent developments.
- Delivering compelling presentations and sharing industry insights to support sales initiatives.
- Maintaining a high standard of professionalism and accountability while providing exceptional service and achieving sales objectives.
- Collaborating with sales team members and RIA/Private Bank counterparts to exchange information and market intelligence.
Qualifications:
We are looking for a high-achieving investment sales professional with a strong background in the Long Only or Alternatives sectors, who is recognized as both an Investment and Sales Professional. Candidates should have significant experience working with leading RIAs and Private Banking teams in the region. Ideal profiles may include:
- An institutional or hybrid sales professional engaging with various opportunity sets, including Platforms, Financial Supermarkets, Private Banks, RIAs, and Family Offices.
- A dedicated sales professional focused on expanding their network within the RIA or Private Banking sectors.
Preferred Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of fixed income products, including duration, high yield, corporates, and municipals.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CIMA, CFP, CFA, or MBA.
Compensation: Salary range: $70,000 - $75,000 (plus sales incentives). This position is exempt from overtime eligibility and qualifies for sales bonuses.
Additional Information: This role requires FINRA licensing and/or pre-hire fingerprinting.
