Human Resources Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the personnel functions within the Anaheim Elementary School District. This position is responsible for various HR activities, including recruitment, selection, and employee relations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
• A high school diploma or equivalent, with additional coursework in human resources or a related discipline.
• A minimum of three years of progressive experience in human resources, particularly in recruitment and selection processes, or a combination of education and experience that provides the necessary skills.
• Familiarity with the District's organizational structure, operational policies, and objectives concerning both certificated and classified personnel, including recruitment and testing procedures.
• Proficiency in record-keeping, research methodologies, and data analysis techniques.
• Strong command of English language skills, including grammar, spelling, and vocabulary.
• Understanding of the State Education Code and employment laws pertinent to personnel management.
• Competence in operating computers and modern office equipment, including proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Execute complex and technical tasks related to employee recruitment, selection, negotiations, and testing processes.
• Interpret and apply District policies, regulations, and procedures while maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
• Organize and prioritize work effectively, ensuring the maintenance of accurate and confidential records.
• Foster cooperative and productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
